Do you have what it takes to walk over a bed of red hot coals and razor sharp broken glass? If you're ready to face the challenge, we're ready to make it possible. It's all taking place in Oxfordshire, on the evening of 29 March at Witney Marketplace.
This is an inspirational and barrier-breaking experience for all concerned! In simple terms, sponsored individuals, after a motivational training session, walk across 20 feet of wood embers burning at 1236 degrees Fahrenheit without experiencing any pain or injury at all! You'll then be coached to walk unharmed across 20 feet of razor sharp shards from two thousand broken wine bottles.
Why would you want to do this? We'll give you two good reasons. firstly, fire and glass walking is genuinely thrilling, exhilarating and rewarding. Secondly, you'll be raising money for one of West Oxfordshire's most worthwhile charities - SpecialEffect (www.specialeffect.org.uk). They help people with disabilities to enjoy computer games, not just for the fun of it, but for rehabilitation, inclusion and quality of life. All we ask is a £50 registration fee, and that you raise at least £200 for the vital work of the charity.
The company involved, Blaze (www.blazefirewalking.com) are experts in fire and glass walking. They've worked with celebrities including Ian Wright and with many media experiences on the likes of This Morning, Brainiac and Blue Peter, so you'll be in capable hands.
Thay have detailed information about the specifics of fire and ice walking in a pdf document which can be found at http://www.specialeffect.org.uk/downloads/firewalkinfo.pdf
