SUMMERSOUND FESTIVAL' 09

"The latest indie music festival on the Irish summer gig calendar". The Irish Times.
The inaugural event will take place in the grounds of East Point Business Park, Clontarf, Dublin on August 22nd, and will feature music and visual installations from local artists.

LINE-UP
The line-up will include bands like The Mighty Stef ,The Spikes ,Saccade ,The Mighty Atomics ,The Red Labels ,Identity Parade ,De Shonos, ,Moebius ,Disconnect 4, ,Heritage Centre ,Funeral Suits ,The Fade Street Bums... In addition, Djs Nick James, Coup de Ville and Nacho Villalon will pefom until late featuring styles such as Reggae, Dance Hall, Hip Hop, Funk, Soul, Surf and Garage rock, Electro-Rock and Electro- pop.
AFTER SHOW PARTY
The Summersound Team is in the process of organizing an after show party in the city centre where band members and attendees can finish the night once the gigs and Dj sessions are over. All Summersound ticket holders will be entitled to a discount /free entry in the after show party.
LOCATION
The venue is based in
~Bar – Dance floor and chill out areas provided. Dj’s will perform throughout the whole day.
~Arts area - This will be converted to allow for video installations, photo and art exhibitions. The space will take in band’s merchandising too.
~Garden – approximately 800 sq feet. Half of the area will be covered with a marquee. The stage will be placed inside and accommodate live performances during the course of the day. Food and BBQ will be available– seats and tables also provided.
Private security are first aid facilities will be provided at this event.
The marquee will ensure that live music will take place outdoors regardless of weather conditions.
