A tour of the re-created Jeanie Johnston ship: A step aboard the Jeanie Johnston is a step towards understanding the daunting experience of the millions of people who crossed the Atlantic seeking survival and hope in the “New World” of North America. You will see what it was like on board a wooden tall ship during the Famine era. The tour will convey a deep sense of history and will to be a memorable experience.

Cruise on the River Liffey: A Vessel (departing from Jeanie Johnston) will take you on a relaxing , informative cruise through Dublin's past, present and give you a glimpse of the future of our beautiful Capital City.
During the stay at Jeanie Johnston a snack will be offered to all attendees.

St Patrick's Cathedral
Built in honour of Ireland’s patron saint, Saint Patrick’s Cathedral stands adjacent to the famous well where tradition has it Saint Patrick baptized converts on his visit to Dublin. the cathedral is a few minutes walk from the conference hotel and is open to visitors Monday to friday from 09.00 to 17.00. Saturday 09.00 to 18.00 and also on Sundays 09.00 - 10.30;12.30 - 14:30;16.30 - 18.00.
Christ Church cathedral
Christ Church Cathedral or more formally, The Cathedral of the Holy Trinity, is the elder of the capital city's two mediæval cathedrals and is also within walking distance of the conference. The opening hours are available here.......
Dublin Castle
In continous occupation since its establishment in 1204 AD, Dublin Castle has played a prominent role in Ireland's history. It is also within walking distance of the conference hotel and houses museums such as the Chester Beatty library which has a rich collection of manuscripts, prints, icons, miniature paintings, early printed books and objects d'art from countries across Asia, the Middle East, North Africa and Europe. Dublin Castle recently held a State banquet to honour the visit of HRH Queen Elizabeth of England.
Guinness Storehouse
The home of the world renowned Guinness brewery is Ireland's most visited attraction. The seven floors bring to life the rich heritage of GUINNESS®, telling the story from its origins at St. James's Gate in Dublin to its growth as a global brand, known all around the world. Bus tours
You can take a tour around Dublin city or go further afield if you have time to spare. There are a couple of company's operating a "hop on hop off" city bus tour including this one........... which also operates tours outside Dublin also.
