TESTIMONIALS
James Porter (Commercial Director, Sponsor121) “I had a fantastic experience at the cmypitch.com event. The presentation delivered by Emmett was well structured and intelligently delivered, and provided mountains of practical information for anyone looking for funding. It helped enormously that Emmett has recently raised over £500k for cmypitch, so I had total confidence that he knew what he was talking about. What I really liked was that Emmett was able to tell us exactly what investors are looking for, and what information I needed to provide in a presentation/document in order to satisfy investors demands. Listening to other entrepreneurs delivering their elevator pitches also made me realise that I needed to refine and simplify my strapline, proposition and unique selling points. During the breaks, we had the opportunity to mingle, and I came away with a couple of really interesting contacts that I have already arranged further meetings with. Highly recommended”.
Sam Petter (CEO of Tatty Bumpkin) “thank you so much for your investor ready course. It was so useful and informative, and hearing from others about their experiences was really helpful. Getting the opportunity to pitch to a cross section of people meant that I gained very valuable feedback, that often you won’t get from those close to the business. I would thoroughly recommend the course for anyone looking to raise finance.”
David Lowe (CEO of yumento.com) “I thought the investor ready course run by cmypitch was excellent. To be around startups at a similar stage to mine was inspiring and it made you feel part of the community. The course was well organised with a variety of speakers and I would highly recommend this to any entrepreneurs".
Nadeen (CEO of Gourmet2go) "I had no idea what to expect from this course, and as I'd been ill the week before I was in two minds about whether to attend. I am really glad I did. I learnt an immense amount from a group of highly experienced people who came across as genuinely wanting to help out, i.e. not asking for money up front for nothing in return! It's difficult to know if what you're doing is right when you are stuck in an office without much contact to the outside world; however just being able to speak to professionals about it and also to other people who are trying to get their brilliant idea's off the ground made me realise that what I have been experiencing (the stress & insecurity at times) is completely normal. I would highly recommend going on any of these training courses! I came away refreshed, completely focused and motivated - something I've not had for a good few months now!".
Barry Russell (CEO of neoSurgical) "we recently attended a CMYPITCH investor ready training course facilitated by Emmett Kilduff. We are getting to that stage on our business development and financing ladder when we needed to look beyond the initial usual suspects and the state agencies for finance support. We need to continue to provide for an advance funding runway to enable us to implement our companies R&D & commercialisation plans. Emmett delivered an excellent, informative and practical course on the broad subject matter of fund raising. He presents a straightforward no nonsense approach that educates you on what you need to do to meet the demands of the various category of investor. He also brought in some excellent finance, tax and legal domain experts who contributed greatly to the course. I would highly recommend that anybody who is looking beyond their seed funding requirements to make contact with Emmett and his team and book a place on this course – you will get something out of it".
Robert Fenton (CEO of Talent Expo) “I thought the pitch I was going to deliver at the “cmypitch Live” event was really good. That was until I went on their ‘Get Investor Ready’ workshop which not only made me realise that my pitch had lots of holes in it, but it also taught me exactly what I needed to concentrate on to get it up to a level where I had a good chance of securing funding from the angels rather than bore them to tears! I am very grateful to the team at cmypitch.com for all their help, advice and support. I highly recommend this workshop to any entrepreneurs looking to get funding for their businesses.”
Mike Georgeson (Founder & CEO, Krowdbuy.com) "The 'Become Investor Ready' event run by cmypitch.com was outstanding. It gave an in-depth view of what Investors require, as well as the legal, IP and financial aspects of start-ups. It was presented in a professional, yet friendly manner and at the end I felt inspired to take Krowdbuy.com to the next level. I would recommend it to anyone wishing to get investment".
Ken Thompson (founder of Swarmteams.com) "I attended a cmypitch Investor Readiness Course and found it immensely useful. If you are looking for investment and you don’t go to one of these courses you will probably show up as very naive to any potential investors you meet which means they won’t take you seriously or even worse - take you to the cleaners. I now know the questions they will ask me and equally importantly what I should ask them."
Henrietta Green (founder of foodloversbritain.com) “Thank you so much. I found it hugely useful and helpful on so many levels – I learnt a lot, networked frantically, picked up some hugely beneficial tips and would certainly recommend such a day to anyone looking to be investor ready”.
Michael Gilhooly (director of Premier Aviation) “The venue was excellent and the morning content of what should or should not go into a successful pitch and type of pitch was excellent. Furthermore the video presentation from well known and respected investors was very informative. The afternoon sessions were very good especially as we gained access to industry professionals such as lawyers and corporate finance professionals which was very useful. Finally the presentations from fellow “pitchers” and subsequent discussions were invaluable. A great event which was very well put together by you and your team”.
James McLoughlin (CEO of Pendlehouse) “'The Investor Ready course was an extremely valuable and well-rounded course for entrepreneurs seeking guidance and practical advice on the best ways to seek funding. Not only were there useful presentations from high-profile law and accounting firms, there was honest and open individual feedback from talented and experienced entrepreneurs and communications experts. A well organised and professional event. A perfect crash course for entrepreneurs of all levels and backgrounds. It has encouraged me to upload my pitch to the website and pitch at future events. Would definitely recommend to fellow entrepreneurs”.
Colm Codd “Just wanted to drop you a quick note to say how impressed I was with the session. Your own knowledge and experience combined with that of the invited companies was credible and based in reality. I learned loads and made contacts that I will be using again as my idea moves on. Congratulations on the day and your own venture. It is a brilliant idea and one that has great potential. I would highly recommend other entrepreneurs to attend this session when you run it again”.
Howard Kingston (CEO of Irish Ancestral Holidays): “Great stuff at your Investor Ready course last Friday. Very inspirational, left ready to take on the world".
Don Corbett: "The 'investor ready' course is great...an entrepreneur will gain a valuable insight in what is required to be ready to pitch for investment. I found the presentations very informative and well presented. I would highly recommend going along to the investor ready bootcamp, not only will you learn many new things but also meet some really great fellow entrepreneurs and might, like me, create opportunities to do some business".
