Barbara Crowther - Fairtrade Foundation Barbara Crowther is Director of Communications and Policy for the Fairtrade Foundation, a non-profit organization that works with businesses, community groups and individuals to improve the trading position of producer organizations in the global South, and promote sustainable livelihoods, using product certification – the FAIRTRADE Mark – as a tool for development. Over 3000 Fairtrade certified products have been certified to carry the FAIRTRADE Mark in the UK, and sales grew 72% in 2007 to reach an estimated retail value of almost £500m. |

Tom Allen - Trading Visions Tom Allen works for Trading Visions which is a Fairtrade education charity. In his session we will be doing a live video link to the head office of Kuapa Kokoo, a Fairtrade co-operative of more than 45,000 cocoa farmers in Ghana. Kuapa Kokoo are co-owners of Divine Chocolate, a farmer-owned Fairtrade chocolate company. |

Professor Paulette L. Stenzel - Michigan State University Paulette L. Stenzel, J.D., is professor of International Business Law in the Department of Finance at Michigan State University. She is active in teaching, research, and public service. She includes units on Fair Trade in all courses she teaches. She is the advisor to MSU Students for Fair Trade, assisting them in sponsoring guest speakers and programs throughout the academic year. She is also advisor to The Spartan Global Development Fund, a student organization with the following mission: To empower students to combat poverty and inequality in the developing world through direct micro-credit |

Professor Jane Conlon MBE - Tabeisa Jane Conlon is based at Coventry University and is the Chief Executive Officer of Tabeisa which supports people based in poor communites in Africa to start their own business. Through her work with Tabeisa Jane recognised that access to market was a major issue for businesses based in poor communites and so Tabeisa has established their own trading arm Exclusive Roots which has stores in Leamington Spa and Oxford as well as an online store. In 2006 Jane was awarded an MBE for services to disadvantaged communities in Africa. |
