PST hotels briefing
Public sector hotel buyers are caught in the perfect storm. On one hand, the public sector pursestrings are being held tighter than ever as a result of the recession and global economic uncertainty and the austerity budgets being implemented by the Coalition government. On the other hand, with some sign of demand returning for business travel, travel suppliers are starting to push for increases in rates, coinciding in 2012 with a number of large events which will draw supply out of the London market - the 2012 Olympic Games and the Diamond Jubilee.
The rest of the country is not immune either, as these huge events will create overspill into the regions. The weakness of the pound also makes the UK an attractive destination for foreign leisure visitors, adding to the squeeze on rates.
How will buyers cope with these forces? This Public Sector Travel briefing hopes to answer that. Our briefings, run in the style of Question Time, feature a panel of sector experts and moderated by PST editor Mark Frary.
There is another reason to attend too. To celebrate our partnership with Premier Inn, who are hosting our event, we are offering a very special prize to one buyer who attends. They will get the chance to stay for a weekend night (subject to availability) at the brand new Premier Inn London Stratford, just opposite Europe's biggest shopping mall - Westfield Stratford City. Public Sector Travel will throw in £100 of spending money. How's that for an early Christmas present?
The briefing will also be a platform for the launch of our latest White Paper looking at how hoteliers price their rooms, taking into account the costs of distribution, staff, energy and more. Join your fellow hotel buyers today to get the expert advice you need to keep your hotel costs under control.
The briefing is complimentary to public sector buyers - register for your free place now. A limited number of suppliers (max 10) can also attend at the cost of £100 + VAT. Remember the numbers are strictly limited to book now.
