Are you a Senior Manager, practitioner responsible for the strategic direction of your service or trustee from a Children, young people and families VCSE organisation?

Are you interested in understanding the health reforms and what this means for the VCSE to help improve outcomes for children, young people and families?

Want to hear about how the VCSE can engage with Health & Well Being boards and Clinical Commissioning Groups?

This interactive workshop will provide an opportunity for delegates to learn more about an exciting piece of collaborative peer led research, commissioned by Newcastle LINk, to explore how young people in Newcastle want to be involved in shaping decisions about their health and health services and explore implications for practice. Each delegate will receive a copy of the full ‘Our Health Our Voice’ research report.

Aims: increase awareness, confidence and ability to understand the emerging health agenda and how this may impact on the services you provide.

Outcomes: By the end of the event participants will have:
  •  An increase in understanding of the changing commissioning landscape in the NHS and the NHS procurement process.
  •  Raised awareness of the implications of Public Health moving to a local authority responsibility
  • Opportunity to understand some of the processes vital to engaging with the health agenda, including JSNA and Health and Well-being boards.

Networking opportunities will be provided including a lunch and also a market place
