Border Collie: A useful dog
Staff from Border Collie Rescue will recount the story of this incredible, intelligent and versatile breed of dog, giving insight to its origins, development and breeding that have made it the best working sheepdog in the world and looking at the wide range of working disciplines and interactive skills that it excels at today. The presentation will also cover the work of the charity since its foundation in 1976, and the issues faced by some unfortunate members of this talented breed if they find themselves in the wrong hands, or simply out of work!
Illustrated by photographs and film footage (and a personal appearance of a few canine beneficiaries).
50% of ticket sales will go to the charity. Robert E Fuller will also be raffling one of his limited edition prints to raise money for this worthy organisation.
A complimentary glass of wine or soft drink will be served after the talk and visitors will be free to browse around the gallery and ask Border Collie Rescue any questions they may have about their work.
