It is important to read the information below prior to registering your Chorus / Quartet. This information will assist you with the registration process.

Individual & Group Registration & Competition Entry Steps
How to Register for Convention
Step 1
Click Registration Tab
Select competition type - Chorus OR Quartet. Only select one type not both. Complete all details requested.
Under additional information requested type - n/a (not applicable). You don't need to answer these questions.
Step 2
Select Individual Registration - only 10 names can be inputted at a time. If your group is bigger than 10 you will need to complete this section more than once.
If you are the main contact, don't forget to register yourself too.
If you have family or friends accompanying you to Convention, they must also register.
Everyone must have a valid pass to enter any of the convention venues.
Step 3
After entering your personal details, i.e. name, address & contact details, you will be asked the following questions:
- Name of Chorus / Quartet
- Number in Chorus
- Riser Time - Friday? Yes or No
- Rehearsal Room - Friday? Yes or No
- Number of seats required for Friday Open Entertainment Competition
- Riser Time - Saturday? Yes or No
- Rehearsal Room - Saturday? Yes or No
- Numbers of seats required for Saturday Winners Gala Concert
- Evening Dinner - Friday? Yes or No
- Number for Friday Evening Dinner
- Evening Dinner - Saturday? Yes or No
- Number for Saturday Evening Dinner
Please answer all the above questions as accurately as possible. All this information helps us ensure your weekend in Limerick is as enjoyable as possible. The purpose of the questions regarding meals are only asked to give an indication of numbers to the hotels. All meals/catering are arranged individually through each hotel.
Every individual attending Convention must have paid and registered under Individual Registration. The cost is €60. This allows access to all competitions and Convention events
If you are entering a Chorus or Quartet into the competitions, please select the appropriate options.
Competition Venues and Hotels
The Competition venue is University Concert Hall Limerick. All Chorus and Quartet competitions will take place in the same venue.
The Headquarter Hotel will be the Carlton Castletroy Park Hotel. Additional accommodation is also available at 3 star Kilmurry Lodge and Travel Lodge Limerick. All are located within easy access of Shannon Airport and accessible by public bus transport to and from the city centre.
Travel time to / from Limerick City centre will take approximately 15 mins by car. We would encourage everyone to stay in the Main Convention Hotels as they are less than 10 minutes to / from the University Concert Hall.

Registration and collection of welcome packs, etc will take place in the Carlton Castletroy Park Hotel.The Pre and After Glow events will also take place here.
How to book accommodation
Please contact each hotel directly regarding your bookings and say that you are with the IABS Barbershop Convention.

Joan Kelly Memorial Entertainment Competition
Please email separately to advise if you wish to enter the Joan Kelly Memorial Entertainment Competition on Friday evening.
Slots are limited and will be given on a first reply basis.
This competition will take place in University Concert Hall.

Please ensure to complete and return this attached Song Sheet and return it by 1st September 2010.
Photos for our Website & Programme
When you complete your registration and accommodation bookings, we would be happy to receive a Photo of your Chorus / Quartet in jpg format only. This information will be placed on our website and used in our programme.

IABS Membership In order to attend Convention and compete in the IABS National Quartet & Chorus competitions you must be a registered and paid up member of IABS. Membership costs €35 per individual.
International visitors do not need to register with IABS.
